RBC Wealth Management Welcomes New Financial Advisor to Washington D.C. Office
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (October 6, 2014) – RBC Wealth Management, one of the nation’s largest full-service securities firms, has welcomed Robert “Bob” Murphy, Senior Vice President – Financial Advisor to the Washington D.C. office, according to Amy Sturtevant, Director of the Washington D.C. branch.
Murphy joins RBC Wealth Management from Morgan Stanley and has over 30 years of industry experience. He has assets under management of more than $200 million and almost $2 million in production. Also joining with Murphy is JoAnne Desjardins, Senior Financial Associate.

Murphy is actively involved in Washington Middle School for Girls, as well as various other projects working directly with the city’s disadvantaged youth.
The addition of Murphy demonstrates RBC Wealth Management’s growth in the U.S. So far this fiscal year, RBC Wealth Management has recruited 79 new financial advisors with $5.8 billion in assets and approximately $50 million in production. Additionally, the average revenue per financial advisor has grown 69% in the past five years.
