RBC Wealth Management's Kristen Kimmell Named a 2014 Woman to Watch by Profiles in Diversity Journal 


MINNEAPOLIS (September 24, 2013) – The national publication Profiles in Diversity Journal recognized Kristen Kimmell, Head, Business Administration, RBC Wealth Management – U.S., as one of the 2014 Women to Watch on their annual list. More than 150 women were profiled in the publication’s 12th annual Women Worth Watching® issue.

“Kristen has always been a tremendous advocate for women through her thoughtful leadership and mentorship,” said John Taft, CEO, RBC Wealth Management – U.S. “This honor is well deserved.”

The women were nominated by peers based on their leadership, teamwork and service to helping women in business and the community. In her profile, Kimmell discusses her leadership journey, and the role models and mentors who helped her along the way.

Kimmell joined the firm in 1995, when it was still known as Dain Bosworth. Since then, she has spent her career in numerous accounting and finance positions within RBC Wealth Management and RBC Capital Markets. In 2010, she became Chief of Staff and was recently named Head, Business Administration. In her newly expanded role, she is the point person on key technology projects initiated by RBC Wealth Management – U.S. businesses and is the business liaison for all staff and functional groups supporting the platform. Kimmell is also co-executive sponsor of the Women’s Association of Financial Advisors (WAFA), as well as a board member of the Global Wealth Management Women of Wealth (WoW). In the community, she is a board member of the Tubman Center, a nonprofit organization that promotes safety and health for individuals and families through education and support services.

Profiles in Diversity Journal is a bimonthly magazine focusing on diversity and inclusion in business, government, nonprofit, higher education and the military. The focus of the Journal is on senior leadership, best practices, workforce diversity strategies and recognition of employee contribution.
