RBC Wealth Management, RBC Capital Markets Donate $25,000 to Support Flood Relief Efforts in Texas

HOUSTON (June 1, 2015) – RBC Foundation-USA today announced a $25,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support flood relief efforts in Texas.

“Our hearts go out to the people in Texas impacted by last week’s devastating floods,” said Darryl Traweek, divisional director of the West/South region at RBC Wealth Management-U.S. “RBC is committed to helping these communities recover and we are proud to work with the Red Cross to do so.”

"Our thoughts are with people in Texas as they rebuild after the flooding," said Matt Boles, a managing director at RBC Capital Markets. "We are committed to supporting the relief efforts given the number of employees and clients we have in the region."

RBC traces its roots in Texas back to the 1930s and today employs nearly 400 people across the state.

In addition to the donation, both RBC Wealth Management-U.S. and RBC Capital Markets are encouraging employees to contribute to relief efforts, reminding them they can increase the impact of individual donations with RBC’s corporate gift matching.
