
RBC Wealth Management also supports non-profit organizations and charitable efforts through its sponsorship program. These contributions complement the RBC Foundation - USA, but are handled separately because they are not 100 percent tax deductible.
Through the Sponsorship Program, RBC Wealth Management supports community events such as art exhibitions, theatre and orchestra openings, and specific fund-raising events.
Sponsorship Guidelines
RBC Wealth Management sponsorships typically meet the following guidelines:
- At least 80 percent of event proceeds must benefit a charitable organization or effort;
- Offer good visibility (exclusive or "signature" sponsorship preferred) and opportunity for client or employee entertainment; and
- Align with company's business or marketing priorities.
Priority is given to organizations and programs that fit the Foundation's focus areas: Arts & Culture, Human Services, and Youth Education. Priority is also given to organizations and events in which RBC Wealth Management employees are actively involved.
All Sponsorships are evaluated to ensure they meet outlined objectives, and some major sponsorships require approval by the CEO or Executive Committee.
